STEMS (Scholastic Test of Excellence in Mathematical Sciences) is a nationwide contest in Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science, which gives students an opportunity to show off their conceptual understanding, win exciting prizes and attend sessions with world renowned mathematicians and scientists. The exam is one of its kind as you can attempt it from anywhere and make use of books and online resources!
A small but curious change to STEMS this year concerns the format. We will have a single test, with the first part being in a short answer format, followed up by a second, subjective part. For a student, the second part will be graded only if they clear a certain cut-off in the first part. We present to you three flavours: Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science of grueling but rewarding problem solving sessions.
Details
Stems will be conducted on the weekend of 7th and 8th January, 2023. The test can be taken online from any location; and the top 30 performers will be invited to CMI to attend a sponsored residential camp with guest lectures by leading experts.
